Hi,
There is something really i'm not sure about and it's about Youtube Tags in the description. I have tags i've entered in the video manager but i also see others adding them in the description as well, so i just did that too. Does it matter or not?
meanwhile you dont need both. if you have skyrim and addon you dont need skyrim addon!That's something dating way way back to the "old" days of YouTube, and to a time when the Google search algorithm wasn't nearly as advanced as it is now.
Long story short: no, don't just add the tags as text last in your description.
However, you SHOULD use the tags IN YOUR DESCRIPTION, but NOT as stand-alone. Lets say you have the tag "Skyrim armor addon" (just as an example). That tag should be reflected in your title, as well as in your description. So you might want to have something along the lines of "In this video I take a look at an awesome Skyrim armor addon, that bla bla bla bla bla". It's also a good idea to wrangle that in several times, throughout a long description. Then you might say "But I have so many different tags, how can I use them all!?" - well, if you have tons of tags that aren't relevant to each other, you're doing something wrong. In the above example, you should also have the tags "skyrim" "armor" "addon" "skyrim addon" "skyrim armor" and so forth. Your tags should all be centred around the same point. If they are, using the tags multiple times throughout title and description shouldn't be difficult at all.

he search for every word alone!. if somebody search for skyrim addon. he also get youre video (if its popular enough) where you only have skyrim or addon.
what is seo? the search?
quick question!
Do Likes & Favorites matter in SEO?
Exactly right. I remember when they first changed this. People were exploiting it (and still are to some degree) by having excruciatingly long videos that get ranked in the top 5 for their keyword/phrases simply because they are long. I think they've mostly fixed that though.Not correct. The google search algorithm looks at close matches to search terms. The more a tag relates to that search term (obviously a perfect match would be best), the better it will rank for it. Of course, having just "skyrim" and "addon" as two different tags, will still allow you to show up somewhere for "skyrim addon", but if you have an exact match tag, that would be better. While there's no official word from YouTube on this, this is how the google search algorithm works, which is largely the one YouTube uses, so it's to be assumed it's the same.
SEO = Search Engine Optimization.

To a certain degree, yes. General user engagement is what matters. That means likes, dislikes, shares, favourites, adding to playlists, comments, subscribes from the video (most likely, anyway), percentage of video watched, and so forth. I'm still doing research on exactly how important this is, but yes, it is a ranking factor.
