YouTube Tagging

Thank you all for the suggestions and things to look out for such as misleading and irrelevant tags. I will look more into it.

Was there a warning given before taking down your channel?
Nope, none at all. It was deleted at the same time that I got the email informing me of my first strike. It was also one of the main reasons I based my argument off of, and I ended up getting my channel back within 24 hours.[DOUBLEPOST=1422602849,1422602702][/DOUBLEPOST]
Tags are the 3rd line of SEO. If your title and description are good, you don't need 500 tags :)
Jesus, 500 tags XD The limit is 500 characters, which I find relatively easy to reach. It's also a pretty good indicator of the point at which they begin to get slightly irrelevant.

Were you able to get your channel back or did you created a whole new one?

Tagging too much actually hurts your search ability. You want somewhere between 10-15 good tags max.
I was wondering if the first few tags have more weight or not. Tagging has been quite an issue for me, and right now I only tag the most relevant keywords.
That's great man. Saw your channel. It's going to be heart breaking if your channel gets permanently deleted.

Along with relevant title to help random folks find it in an appropriate search, I try to think of what someone who only watched the video once and is trying to remember it might type it to find it again.
