Do you think it's better if you use the same format for your videos as the one YouTube converts them into?Im not an expert on the best settings etc but I would shoot video using fairly low ISO settings and increasing light where you can assuming the video is shot with a camera with manually adjustable ISO to ensure the least amount of grain in the final video, I dont think we have much choice other than trying to produce the best quality ourselves for them to re-encode.

I would guess MP4, since that is what they offer you if you want to download your videos againI honestly dont know because I dont know what they convert them to![]()

Yeah make sure to keep copies of your video renders, I have had to download the MP4 versions before and comparing them there is some quality loss.Oh indeed there is.Doh that would make senseYeah make sure to keep copies of your video renders, I have had to download the MP4 versions before and comparing them there is some quality loss.

I have every video file stored away on different hard drives.
But I'm not sure where my 2012-mid2014 hard drives are. >.<
Probably somewhere in the house, or in my moms house.
That looks cool!I am wanting one of these drives at the moment for video storage:

Is it one that you build into your computer?
Or does it have USB too?
