Youtube Obstacles

Right now it's technically not having a editing program i had the trail of première pro but half way though my edit the trsil ran out super annoying before that my laptop was dying so i thought the new pc would change things nope not yet at least oh well hopefully i can scrape by on lightworks untill i can afford something different

I had a hard time telling my friends and fam that I was on YouTube. I waited it out almost for a year untill I was proud & confident enough to show it to them. My fam don't really care that much but my friends do support me :)

Aside from that I've been filming with a old borrowed powershot, that could only film 20 min at a time. It had no lighting options what bumbed me allot because I was making detailed video's that had to be sharp, but sind yesterday that all changed because after more then a year I put some money in a wonderfull 4K cam from Panasonic and ready to go at it! :p

Getting more cat videos to post. As a volunteer at the shelter, my main assignment is to make 30 second adoption videos for the dogs. I end up having a lot of footage of dogs to make videos for YouTube. Cats are harder because they are generally in small cages so it's hard to film them doing something interesting. I have been able to get approval to take cats into a larger room if I sanitize it before and after I film. Just in general, it can be hard to get interesting footage of nervous shelter animals that I have just met.

OMG best job ever so cute! checking out your channel!

I live with my parents and my dad works from home. Our house is one story and very open so sound travels. This makes it hard to film videos and get the silence I want. Daylight savings has gotten really annoying, if I don't film earlier in the day. But the biggest thing is my mom thinks YouTube is a waste of time, so I can't film without my mom getting mad at me.

that's pretty much it. I love my equipment and that isn't an issue at all, besides lights.

I'd say the one thing that catches me out is family. I live at home (Because I'm only 16), and so when I want to film a sketch or most videos in general, I get interrupted a lot by family members. I usually try to stick to doing my videos in my room, but sometimes they come in ect.

I've found there isn't really a way around this. I try to time my filming as best I can, doing it on my day off (Monday), but sometimes they finish early, or I don't have the motivation, or people are busy, and this, personally is the one thing that's dragging my channel down, because I physically can't create content once a week, because I don't have the facilities to do it.

For me, the issue with being active on YouTube usually has to do with myself one way or another. The biggest reason I have against a super-active YouTube channel is that I don't want to be a celebrity. Yes, I admit I want a few views, as well as a few dollars for the amount of effort I put into my music, but I sure as heck don't want to be a target of celebrity culture, especially given the dark side of fans which I've fully experienced on several sites.

When it comes to me being engaging, I also have a lack of confidence in my ability to speak, especially when it comes to explaining things. This is one big reason why I almost never speak in my videos.

Like Vidcast, I also have frequent interruptions by family as well, but I personally can deal with that relative to my prior points.
