Youtube Obstacles

Self-esteem. I actually have ample amounts of free time and projects only take as much money as I want them to-so it's the voice that doubts doing YouTube is worth it (or if I'm worth it) that I fight an endless battle against. I've been practicing mindfulness to move on.
 
It's a bit hard to explain but here goes - Finding the right balance between maintaining the momentum and the consistency to keep the current subs and viewers happy while working on new content for the future to continue the growth. So basically staying consistent even when the channel is doing well.

My laptop is about 4 years old, so it's only a matter of time before I'm screwed haha

When I first started, I had that too. Especially because some of my "friends" teased me for it. If youtube really means something to you, then you'll pull through it! I wish you the best of luck :)

Story of my life. I recently bought lights, so I could film at night. Which helped reduce this problem because I could only film in the day before
 
Definitely time. I have a full-time job that often bleeds into the off-work hours, and I also direct local theater, so I'm in rehearsal or production about 3-4 nights per week, so I only have a short period of time in any given day to record and edit videos. I try to stay on schedule and film things ahead of time, but there's often upload days where I'm editing right up to the wire.
 
I had the same problem you had I just when I get it fixed. I will upload more videos then just once or twice a week.
 
Time. Always trying to find faster ways to make quality videos.... and also stay on top of participating on this forum and all other social media outlets for the channel... time is the biggest enemy, haha

What lights did you get?? Are they softboxes or just normal lights??
