Youtube in X years?

I don't know if this is in the right category but I'm curious about what you think will happen on youtube in the future (like in 10-20 years)?
I think about this alot^^:

In my opinion, Youtube will divide more and more like the population did in the middle age, most get more and more poor, the others get more and more rich, in Youtube's case just with the subs :P it will be more difficult to gain subscribers...

But also alot of Youtubers will stop youtubing because they will be just to popular to be even able to make a video because they're just to busy.

Furthermore, it will be practically impossible to start a new popular youtube channel because nobody will recognise youy

In the end, there will also be a lot of channels with payed subscriptions (yes, youtube even introduced it) but I don't think that the whole site has to be payed.

What do you think? :)

I think youtube will be dead in around 20+ years as it will no longer be what's hip and happening. I'm just spitballin, but I think something else will take its place in the future. Out with the old, in with the new

I predict in the next few years. . .

1. YouTube will be eventually mostly music videos, vevo channels will increase even more.

2. Eventually YouTube will have to start a new site or section of the site or something, for gaming/minecraft videos and channels just because there are so many of them.

3. Any channel that has over a certain number of subs will most likely be paid subscription to watch the videos.

4. Annotations will work on mobile devices and mobile viewing will over take watching videos on a computer.

5. YouTube will be blocked in several more countries for political reasons.

6. Google will make it even more confusing to sign up and create a YouTube channel.

I think YouTube would either be dead, or become a place where 1 million subscribers will only earn you £200 a month, as the value of a subscriber will lessen as there are many more.

I'm not certain it would even exist, and if it does exist it might be the new myspace. DEAD.[DOUBLEPOST=1405899541,1405899489][/DOUBLEPOST]

this actually seems pretty legit.[DOUBLEPOST=1405899671][/DOUBLEPOST]
I think that.. Nevermind.
I think it will be a p**n site too.

I feel like its slowly going to dominate than die because well.....Google....

People are choosing YouTube over the TV anyday, wether it comes to TV shows or movies, YouTube is the place to go, to learn something or find something out. YouTube is the answer and I can safely say people depend on YouTube to live and function.

So I don't think YouTube will die, if anything it will get stronger and stronger with its users becoming less free as the years come.

Next thing you know you'll have to pay to create a channel, and pay for added features etc. Its something I can see YouTube/Google do

It's kind of hard for me to think about this. It's probably going to stay the same for at least a few years. Possibly longer. For example, TV was invented in 1926 and popularized in the 1940s and is still around. This very well could be the same for YouTube as you can get basically any show/movie/whatever that you wanted but with TV you can't. Infact, there has been a pretty big decline in TV's popularity since 2012. And Google Trends shows a pretty big increase in YouTube's popularity since August 2012. Who knows, maybe YouTube will last 88+ years like television or atleast until something new comes out like TeleTube or whatever. But there is one thing I know, and that is, I'll always watch YouTube videos.

YouTube will find more ways to stream to TV's or Google will release their own TV "Google Box" with YouTube as the main feature. YouTube networks will continue to grow and gain more power and use that power to inflence their own content while pushing smaller guys into the shadows. The quality of the content will go up but it will be much harder for smaller people to get their foot in the door.
