YouTube drama queens & clickbait (PART 2)

I don't mind it if it's clickbait but if they add like boobs or whatever that's totally off-topic then that shouldn't be allowed. Other than that, that's how smaller channels get recognition. I don't know why people get so irritated about this thing.

Thoughts on YouTubers that do this? Do you call them out for it or let it go?
I honestly don't give it a second thought. It used to bother me what other Youtubers did, but I think it's counterproductive to my channel and to my enjoyment of life in general to concern myself with how other people are running their channels or living their lives.

The one interesting thing I'll say about this is that it reminds me of the reply girls, except on a different level. Back then (2009-2011 or so) they would get tons of views simply by showing cleavage in the thumbnail and replying to the top videos at the time (i.e. re:xyz top video). People clicked, watched for a few seconds to see the girl, and then thumbed them down and left. Their watch time suffered but it didn't matter back then because that was prior to the algorithm change that was designed to kick those Youtubers' videos out of the suggested video section (it was actually called 'related videos' back then, as you might know). The thing about these quasi-misleading thumbnails is that the current algorithm is supposed to keep these types of videos from doing well in that suggested video section, but apparently that's not working out too well. The watch time/viewer session length of these videos must be better than we would imagine, otherwise they wouldn't have all those views. People must like this content on some level even though on the surface it seems like nonsense. I'm curious as to what the like/dislike ratio is on those videos and how it compares to the retention.
