Youtube Dont's

thanks for the advice dino! although I was clearly joking but looking at your channel you have 420 subs but your average video has less than 200 views, some even less than 100, does that mean you're talking from experience?
... Burn.
But tbh, that's a pretty high return rate for youtube. Look at way bigger channels, they have MILLIONS of subs, and only get a couple hundred thousand views.

that's true, there always a baseline within the subs that will watch whatever you put on

I didn't think you were joking, mainly because if you were then you've made the joke more than once. Just difficult to tell, because some people do have that sort of mentality.

And to answer your question, I have done sub 4 sub, but not with this channel. The reason I have low views compared to subscribers is because I've been gone for a bit a few times with this channel. A month or so of inactivity can kind of kill that.

Also, what @Ninja said is true for pretty much any YouTuber. People seem to subscribe a lot and then never watch videos of the person they subscribed to. I don't really have control over that.[DOUBLEPOST=1424409211,1424409159][/DOUBLEPOST]
so if that's the case, you would need 1000 subs just to get 200 views normally? is that how your channel has 224 subs but less than 20 views a video?

That's pretty much how that works. I've seen channel with like 3,000 subscribers and very rarely get 100 views on average.

which is b******t, if you are getting subscribers from the fact that they like content and they subscribe because they want more, why would only 100 out of 3000 people watch your video, that defeats the whole purpose of subscribers.

maybe its a gaming channel thing among gamers, i notice a lot of gaming channels have that type of deal. Gamers like supporting other gamers, thats kinda a sub for no sub =P

Exactly. At one point they will like your content, but after a day or so it's possible that they forget about you. That, or just don't click on your videos when they're in the sub box.

Depends on the subscriber, if they like to watch every video then maybe not, but I know a lot of mine only watch certain series. Look at Pewdiepie for example, 32 million subs, only around 4-5 million views a video. Look at almost every channel, you'll see that that's the case.[DOUBLEPOST=1424410066,1424409844][/DOUBLEPOST]

Not everyone spends every waking hour watching videos, I am subscribed to about 73 channels, I maybe watch 1-2 videos a day. It isn't just every gaming channel, pretty much every channel other than the popular film channels or channels that just try to bait people in or make videos specifically to get big views (BIGGEST FAIL EVER)
