YouTube Advertisement Help

I was wondering if the service where you can pay for YouTube to advertise you is worth it, and if anybody has had experience with the paying for advertisement on YouTube service. Also, what do you think is the best way to make a YouTube ad?

I just started promoting my videos with $5 each, so that's $20 a month. I've been gaining views, but based off of the analytics they haven't been watching all of the videos.

In terms of its effectiveness then it might be worth looking to how you've interacted with it personally. For myself I've seen a few channels promoted via this means and have probably clicked through on about 5%. When the video ad has been compelling enough I click, I feel like ultimately it comes down to how good your content is to start a snowball of views.
