Your Lighting Setup?

I agree, great tips from everyone here, thank you so much! You'd think as a photographer I'd be able to figure out the lighting of my own videos lol.

I haven't been using any extra lighting for my last few videos - just record them in the daytime near the window! Lol.
Nevertheless, I do have a cheap video light that I purchased from Amazon. Not exactly brilliant, and I do need a better lighting setup I guess!

Been considering a light box with 3 point lighting......

I don't really want to rely on daylight to film, I like to do a lot of filming at night. I'm using an adjustable LED light right now and my giant reflector from photography. I'll probably buy some soft boxes to give a better studio feeling next.

Do you have any pics? I also prefer to film in the late evening (when the kids are in bed!) so could do with a better lighting setup as well!

I use my room light on the ceiling and the built in light on my camera..sometimes it works others it doesnt, its weird haha

The Cowboy studio set is pretty good. You don't need expensive. However, you do want to do white balance and correct lighting during filming. Fixing all that in post with brightness, contrast, etc., is ok, but can make it hard to get colours and all that will look good in the final product. I haven't really worried about it too much for most of my YT stuff, but I've noticed it makes my stuff look crappy. For my upcoming short films and vlogs, I will be doing it all the right way. Professionalism is key if you want to really make money with YT videos IMHO.

Anyway, I've rambled long enough...bored I guess LOL

m8 i looked at your channel and could not find that video anywhere ..can u suggest please ????
