Would you declare spamming as something 'completely wrong'

I've Got It
Would you? because recently I have seen a bit of success with spamming, I go on a bigger video with related content and ask nicely, granted I get more negative replies than positive but the negative replies aren't about my videos, they're are about my spamming.

Example of a bad one: Stop spamming and advertising your channel, it's pathetic.
Note here that they did not once mention my videos just the fact that they don't like spamming

To be perfectly honest, I don't see why so many people hate spamming, it works. Especially bigger YouTubers, they're already there so what do they care? [ It rhymes :) ]

Example of a good one: I saw your channel advertised on ............'s channel and I really like your videos, you deserve a like and a subscribe.

Proof that spamming works just some people like to moan about it because they think they will get in to the bigger YouTuber's 'good books' but the bigger YouTubers do not give a F***, chances are they won't even see the person moaning about the spammer (if you understand that bit)

I admit I get more negative responses but they are about me spamming, not the quality of my videos, and the good ones are always about the quality of my videos. Look at my "FIFA 13 Online Goals Montage Episode 6" for an example

this is a rhetorical question, has to be....YES...YES I DO...keep the ham in a can!

It is a matter of opinion really, lots of different people will have different views, I just don't see what the harm is, those big youtubers are already there, and the only thing that spamming could do is uncover a hidden gem if they are given a chance....

its not a matter of opinion when its against the ToS

I understand that, but really. It would be incredibly hard to get noticed without a bit of spamming because you could be making the best content going but if you only have like 10 subscribers you going to get like 6 views max....

As long as the video you comment on is somewhat related to the content you upload, and you don't sound desperate at all, then it is...OK, but you're still on thin ice. Don't just talk about your channel, actually comment on the video itself and then mention your channel on the side or something.

I remember @KGATV doing something similar to this for his parody of "Applause".

Just because they're big YouTubers doesn't mean they don't care, PewDiePie made a video where he was so annoyed with the comments sections being full of "plz check out my channel" "plz watch my videos I play minecraft" etc etc.

Other big YouTubers that I watch also get annoyed when the comments section is full of self advertising. I would be too.

When I 'spam' I always ensure I have a comment first then I just plant something in along the lines of
