Will a serious YouTube competitor ever appear?

I believe it could happen one day. I mean look at MySpace. Everyone used to have one, and at the time we thought nothing else would take over. Then one day Facebook started getting a lot of traffic, and now look... Myspace is dead lol.

I really hope it doesn't happen, but it is very possible.
 
Everyone thought MySpace was here to stay but look at them now. I see Facebook & youtube being replaced in the very near future. Facebook b4 youtube but the time will come. It happened to Rome and so will it happen to Google.

Now, Instagram is hot as of now. Watch, next it'll be GoogleGram or something else. lol :)

Haha yeah I saw the new layout and was very impressed. Wonder how many people are going to start using it
 
Ya the new MySpace layout is awesome. But I do think something along the road will not necessarily take over YouTube but be just as good.
 
Too little too late. It's just too big now. Youtube needs to crash and burn in a big way for some company to rush in and take the spotlight. Maybe back in its infancy before everybody became a partner and AVGN was still new they could have made a suitable competitor.
 
As with anything, it will be replaced and modified from there.

Now the real question is. Will youtube ever be replaced on what we know as the internet? Or will it stay forever powerful like the Network channels on TV just for the internet? I think so. Just that when the next invention for interaction comes along there will be another Youtube of its medium.
