I was referring to the story you shared of you botter friend.
"It is late. I am bored. So, let me tell you a story. Read it, it's quite interesting.
Once upon a time, a fellow vlogger added me on Facebook (name shall remain anonymous), but let's call him Bob. He seemed cool so I was like, 'this guy is cool'. And then one day, Bob randomly gave me a shoutout on my channel, in which I gained a few subbies

Months past and Bob gave me another shoutout, this time I gained 10 subbies within a few minutes. I thought that was so awesome!

And it was. Being me, I checked my emails to see who these new subscribers were. Something odd caught my attention in the process of checking my emails. All these accounts had real people names. Meaning, they had a first name and a last name. I also checked the accounts as well, and guess what? ALL of the accounts ALWAYS liked, commented, and favorited Bob's videos. Right then and there, I had thought that Bob botted all these accounts himself. Heck, those accounts even had professional looking pictures! NO ONE GETS THAT PROFESSIONAL WITH THE AVATAR. Oh, and forgot to mention, ALL those pictures were people. HUMAN BEINGS. Odd, right? You would think at least 1 of those 10 accounts would have a picture of a cartoon or something to hide their identity. Anyway, I just continued to give Bob the benefit of the doubt and made myself believe that maybe they were Bob's BFFs or something that watched his videos. At this point, I totally saw how weird this Bob guy kinda was....
A few weeks later, he gave me another shoutout. Again, I gained a few subbies within just a few minutes. And then a few minutes later, I just stopped gaining subbies. Like, I didn't even gain anymore for the rest of the day. Don't you think I would at least gain a few more throughout the day?? Why would I just gain a few in a few minutes and then stop for the rest of the day?? Hmm.....Suspicion hit me. I checked the accounts, and AGAIN. All real names. All professional looking pictures. ALWAYS watched, liked, commented, and favorited Bobs videos. My suspicion radar decided to dig deeper into this. So I clicked on Bobs videos and looked at all the comments. I was shocked. All those accounts that had subbed to me (plus many more) left ONLY positive comments AND all the comments seemed really happy because of how all the commenters used ! marks at the end of every single sentence. And that basically said the same thing and were repetitive. My suspicion meter went up like crazy so I used technology to help me. I used Google image search on those avatar pictures to see if they popped anywhere else. A few didn't, but a few did. Those few pictures that did show up in different places were from blogs or literally just a random photoshoot of random people. So Bob HAD to be creating fake accounts! I had so much evidence. Another thing, I thought about it and most of the avatars had older looking people. DO OLD PEOPLE (age 25-40) REALLY WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS!??!?!? Do these people really have time to watch Bobs' videos every single day? Oh yeah, Bob was a daily vlogger at the time too. And his vloggers were at least 10 minutes each. I started believing that maybe this Bob dude was a bit crazy and made multiple of dozens of accounts just to give himself likes and comments. I also feel bad for the other vloggers that he give shoutouts to as well (yes, Bob does them basically every day). I feel bad for them because I am sure they are getting tons of fake subs! ALL COMING FROM BOB. All these accounts are Bob. I just have a strong feeling about it. But I also feel bad for himself, because he has his own family. HE'S AN ADULT. WITH A FAMILY. Like Shaycarl and stuff. Yet, he does this for...? I don't know. I am scared to confront him about his botting ways.
Yes, this is a
true story! I am still friends with Bob on Facebook, but it's just kinda weird. You may think I am just over thinking this whole botting thing, but you have to realize the evidence I have. So let me review
Evidence
-----------------
-
All those accounts have watched, liked, commented, and FAVORITED. Let me say this again, FAVORITED. That right there is already kinda odd. Who favorites EVERY SINGLE VLOG!? Especially since Bob was a daily vlogger, who would favorite a vlog every single day? Hmmm....
-
All the accounts had actual people names. None of the account names were like: Swaggityswagswag, or xxbootyliciousxx, or OMGcraycrayswag. The accounts were literally peoples names! Like: Rob Bean, Lance Hogan, Alina Grub (Yes, I just made those up. I am giving an example, ok).
-
Avatars were TOO professional looking and even some, when Google image searched, led me to different sites and blogs. First, it was real people names. THEN it was actual faces. Hm.... Suspicious, eh?
-
The accounts had pictures of older looking people. Aint nobody that old got time for dat (daily vlogs). Some kids don't even have time for dat!!
-
Oh, and did I mention that when I first met him and looked at his channel, he only had 500 subbies? Then he went to 1800? Then 2200? Then back down to 1500? And now he is at 1300. Why is that? HMM...
*cough* bots
*cough*
So there is my story. If you read this, I hope you enjoyed. Again, this IS a true story and I have no idea how to deal with this, lol. Bob is a bit cray cray, I must say...."
