Why Hate Video Editing?

I love editing, I've thought about specifying solely in editing and writing and letting other people do the camera work.

I don't do any fancy graphics but I did buy a Zoom H6 for audio recording and it is causing more work during the editing process.

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with video editing. Since most of my videos are music covers its usually just getting them synced up that is the hard part, the rest is easy all be it time consuming.

Honestly it just depends on the amount/type of editing that's being done. There's a difference between editing for hours working solely with color correction and editing some sweet video effects into a movie yanno?

Editing sure can be tedious, but doesn't make it much less fun when you see what sort of results you can get. Most of my videos contain much more editing than the average gaming vids, as I make random edits rather than lets-plays.

Some of my, in my opinion, best videos even kinda use editing as a theme. Got a couple videos where I mock the typical game montage editing style by satirizing it to the max with noisy dubstep, lens flares and flashy text: /watch?v=scY_5zSOFZQ and /watch?v=-kuet4GvX70
The Minecraft montage parody even caught the attention of both Yogscast and Game Grumps, all because hours upon hours of tireless video editing

Editing is fun, if not, make it so.

Even though it's not very much effects, considering we do gameplay videos and all, but the little editing we do on some of our videos are quite fun

you aren't at all! i personally love video editing unfortuanely as i grow older my responsiblities are growing more and more so i cant make my videos like i used to. but when i edit it is the greatest feeling in the world

Ofc it's a lot of fun! But some of my videos have taken over 6h to edit.. And that can get a bit tedious at times!

I really enjoy editing films and stuff where there is a variety of scenes going on. For me, editing my cover music videos can be a bit boring. After about 1/2 is done, it's just the same process over and over again.
