Why Don't More People Make YouTube Videos?

I get really nervous on camera, but I feel like that helps make it funnier and therefore more viewable. And I don't mind laughing at myself.

yea, i get nervous on cam too but i enjoy feeling a little out of my comfort zone sometimes, i think it freaks some people out though :L

I don't even have a computer that can edit or anything, it can't even handle turning on its on webcam. Everything I do is via Iphone.

And I guess people might think they could seem uncool, but who gives a f**k.[DOUBLEPOST=1365395927,1365395800][/DOUBLEPOST]

Because you're an idiot. It seemed well-deserved :-)

I'd say it takes a certain amount of commitment and creativity, but mainly just time. Most people quit YouTubing because of time, and it's probably a big obstacle for starting it. Also, money. Everything needs to be highest quality, best editing these days, and it can cost quite a bit.

Lol, I'm an idiot and you're roaming the internet trolling...[DOUBLEPOST=1365396537,1365396499][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well, why don't more people play soccer? It's all about interest, man.
Well, isn't YouTube all about interests? You can really make videos doing anything you do already.

honestly it's up to personal preference. I happen to enjoy making videos. Others don't. A lot of my friends don't actually like to be on camera for a few reasons:
1) They just don't feel comfortable on camera. This leads to the next one
2) Because of their lack of comfort, they think they'll look really dumb in the video, leading to 3
3) People will criticize and judge them

That last point is the kicker. Youtubers kind of learn to deal with criticism and "haters" because we NEED to if we want to continue. We need to adapt. Would a regular person have to same motivation? Probably not.

tl;dr The reason that everyone doesn't make youtube videos is because they're not comfortable with the public presence of Youtube.

I'm broke as s**t, I actually started using YouTube in an attempt to make money because I live on next to nothing. And I'm actually pretty close to getting monthly checks now.
Eventually I'll be able to edit and spend money on my videos, but that is impossible for now.

Its just like sports, school, coffee, music everything!
Some people like to do it while others don't. Its just people are into different things!
The same could be asked to the youtubers out there who don't play sport, yet sport is by far the best thing a human could do to relieve stress :) and some people are just camera shy!
