Why do you subscribe to a channel?

I know I only subscribe to channels I am going to watch every video from because I truly enjoy all of their content and want to support their channel. I am currently subscribed to 13 channels, only 5 of which have more than 1,000 subscribers. I really like watching the smaller channels that have great content and trying to share it with others because I think they deserve to grow. Why do you subscribe to channels? Post a reply because I have been wondering this for a while :)
 
That is really cool of you! And of course really cool of everyone who gives these small channels a chance or even an opportunity!

I personally subscribe to anybody who's making videos I enjoy no matter the subscriber count. So I'm subscribed to people with just about 200 subs but also to YouTubers with a couple millions!

It's the content and the person that count for me, so I'm not sticking to a certain type of video like Let's Plays or Sketches only...

That's exactly how I see it as well. I am only subscribed to 1 channel with over 1 Million subscribers, and that is because I really like JWittz, and I have been watching his videos since he had 30,000 subscribers. Like you said it's all about what they're making and what their personality is because that is what keeps me coming back :)

I mean everyone's got their favourite genre like I prefer funny content but if there's other content that's worth watching I'll check it out as well! Everyone deserves a chance and I can't expect people to give me a chance if I'm giving no chances either.
 
Plenty of reasons:

1. Pity sub
2. I liked one of their videos
3. They're a known company that I like
4. They've got some exclusive news/content that I want to see
5. They're very funny in all of their videos
6. They're a friend
 
I choose people with content I like, be it one video or a load. The way I see it if one is good there will be more, either the ones already made or in the future, so I sub to find out and carry on watching. Personality is a major factor in who I chose as well as the content
 
I would just sub to show my support to the person..I may never watch their videos again but its a way of showing support to them, as if to say what they're doing is good, funny or just fuuuck yeaah!
