Why do you Make YouTube Videos?

I know this sounds like a stupid question as most of you would instantly think "because it's fun," or "because it's a good creative outlet." But I want you to really think about it? What is your exact reason for slaving over a computer editing and recording for hours?

Do you do it solely for yourself? And you couldn't care less whether you have 0 subscribers or 100,000 subscribers?

Do you do it so the world will have something to remember you by?

Do do it perhaps just hoping that you'll have you chance at "making it big" and become internet famous/wealthy?

I'm having a legitimately hard time trying to come up with the actual reason of me making videos. I guess (as bad as this sounds) like the attention and it gives me a sense of importance. I also thrive to please people.

Anyways, why do you do it?

When I started YouTube it was to give me something to do, and I wanted to use YouTube as a way to become less shy. (I'm a very shy person in real life.) I also wanted to make friends, since a lot of YouTubers I have watched have made a lot of friends through YouTube. Once I started I learned that I simply just love making videos. I never expected me to enjoy video making this much, and now it's one of my top hobbies. Of course I had the dream of becoming big. I think every YouTuber has this dream. But I'm not doing YouTube for the soul purpose of becoming big. I just want something to express myself, and YouTube has fulfilled that

Yeah im pretty much the same way, lack of confidence was my main reason of starting YouTube. As for the dream i like the sense of being a big youtuber but not having to worry about all the things big celebs have to worry about lol (paparazzi)

Haha yeah. I mean we all want to become big, it's just YouTube nature

Well for me it use to be just for fun at one point a goal for fame or some kind of being "big feeling" but now its just something i like to do.
An outlet of creativity that i like using to express me. And show others who i am as well as find others like me who are creators. I've also found that its helped me just be me on camera.
I'm still a bit shy to others until i find i'm comfortable enough to be out going but when shooting a video i find i'm just different, i get an energy that takes over me and causes me to just exert this feeling and determination to entertain.

Because my mommy said I have talent![DOUBLEPOST=1370493542,1370493414][/DOUBLEPOST]In all seriousness though I make videos mainly to entertain people even if it's just a small audience and hopefully one day get bigger and get like 1,000 active subs. If I had 1k subs I could die a happy man and make me even more motivated to push out good content for them.

When I started KyrieTheGamer I simply wanted to play games and record them. Now I've done more information about marketing and film making in general, so I made my new channel.
