Why do you Make YouTube Videos?

So that I could have a social life.
No seriously, I did it because I'm a lonely butt and need friends who game (desperately :[ too many friends who are into dancing...)

I look at YouTube as a way to be able to express myself and share my funny crazy moments with people. I am also kind of shy, but through YouTube it is easy for me to make friends and meet people. Through YouTube I think I am able to really express myself and be the real person I am. I've always wondered what I wanted to do as a job and I've always wanted to find some way to incorporate all of the things I like to do into one. YouTube makes that possible. I always loved making videos when I was a little kid and now that I've started making videos again which can incorporate all of the stuff I love, I never want to stop making video. Like almost everyone here I also want to at some point make money from YouTube so I can continue doing it and not have to get a boring job. YouTube is so much fun, it is so hard to describe why I do it, because it has become a part of me. I cannot live without YouTube.

Same here, except they don't like dancing and as a matter of fact, 'they' don't really exist. :P I only have one friend and he's got more important things on his mind than video games, so I thought maybe I'd find some likeminded people online. :D

Honestly, to stop me from going insane. That sounds lame, but its the truth. Without YouTube, I die of boredom, and I start yelling and breaking s**t. I go full Hulk when I'm bored. I have to admit, if I have a idea, I would hate anyone else to take it, so I say it in a video that way I can claim I had it first.

At first, I made videos just to demonstrate my gaming skills, but then I moved on to providing gaming tips to help those become a professional. I stopped making videos about games long ago, and now I'm doing a new series that will actually (hopefully) guide, inspire, and change the way people think. I will be making videos to help people in life as well as to spread a certain aspect.

I know this sounds like a stupid question as most of you would instantly think "because it's fun," or "because it's a good creative outlet." But I want you to really think about it? What is your exact reason for slaving over a computer editing and recording for hours?

Do you do it solely for yourself? And you couldn't care less whether you have 0 subscribers or 100,000 subscribers?

Do you do it so the world will have something to remember you by?

Do do it perhaps just hoping that you'll have you chance at "making it big" and become internet famous/wealthy?

I'm having a legitimately hard time trying to come up with the actual reason of me making videos. I guess (as bad as this sounds) like the attention and it gives me a sense of importance. I also thrive to please people.

Anyways, why do you do it?

I did it to show people what I do and what I see.... I've always liked sharing photos and videos. Now there are more reasons.... to get a ton of views, to make some pocket change, to share with people who are too far away from me to share in person, etc... I basically mostly like to share my experiences and make people laugh or awe...

For us since my channel is two people we did it because we believed It would would extremely enjoyable and we really don't care about the whole sub factor but what we are looking for is fans or what we do :) we don't think we will get get big but If we can gain a couple fans along the way then hell we will do this forever :) Its a fun thing to do when me and a friend sit down have a couple drinks and just game and talk :)

Well , mainly because i'm too good at videogames since i was 4 years old ( can't remember when i was younger so ye , but my mum said i was born with a Joystick in hands lol ) .
Now back to being serious .
I got back into gaming something like 2 years ago after a 6 years break and i've always been the guy that you ask solution for a videogame .
When Hitman Absolution got released and i saw no videos on YouTube of this game played on Purist (max difficulty) the way Hitman has to be played I got back into uploading . I enjoyed it and since i suffer of something like insomnia ( i can't sleep more than 4 hour per night ) i found a way to fill that free night time .
My girlfriend at first was annoyed by this thing but later on she gave up .
Since I have a really delicate job where i can't do a single mistake ( Architect ) , i have a girlfriend to satisfy and a Dogo Argentino ( Argentine Mastiff ) to take care of , i don't have that much time to make videos but since i can't sleep at night i go into my " Pat Cave " in the basement , access TeamSpeak and Steam and I play games and record alone or with my friends . Basically it's one way to spend my free time and throw behind the fight i had with my lady , frustation from my job and you can keep going for ever dropping down problems on problems that a 22 years old guy can have .
So yeah , it's one way to relax .
