Why do you hide your subscribed to channels?

I was going to post this in the chillout room but it's apparently non-youtube related >.> as the title suggests, I'm curious to know why some people hide their subscribed to channels? What are the different reasons you do it for?

Well, my answer is because I want viewers to stay at my channel for as long as possible.

I thought about doing that before when I was subscribed to way more channels than necessary, it made me look like a hoarder lol. But I culled my subs and left it public.

I'm pretty open about my Brony-ness. Most people think I'm weird, but Friendship Is Magic, is one of my favorite cartoons ever. It's just... It's funny, but at the same time it reminds me of waking up early on Saturday's to watch cartoons. So it reminds me of good times.

As for why I hide my subs thing, it's only so that my channel looks more clean and such. I even got rid of the channel box thing, even though I'll bring it back only to put my other channels in it. It irks me when things don't look nice and pretty. >_>
