Why Did You Join YouTube?

I was wondering that their are tons and tons of YouTube channels producing videos. So I was wondering why did YOU join Youtube? Fame? Girls? Passion for entertainment?

For me personally, I always loved watching videos from my favorite Youtubers so when I got the chance to do the same I said "Why not?"
 
It was to watch Pokemon episodes online during school. I'm not kidding. I know the first video I ever watched too. If it was not for Pokemon DP I would not be on Youtube
 
Because I find that it's a great way to kill time when I'm bored. Somehow, it also makes talking to myself seem like a skill.
 
Mostly because I need a creative outlet. I have a million interests and constantly learning new stuff. I just wanted to share my interests with other people while being informative. Plus it feels good to make friends with strangers.
 
I was feeling a bit lonely and wanted to make friends. And maybe to be able to get to know the people who I watch on there.
The big thing though, was that I was pretty depressed and had no motivation to do anything in real life. I was bored and incredibly sad and lonely. So, I needed a way to divert my attention and have some fun to help make myself...better. And it's working. So, getting to know people and just getting happier again.
