Who (or what) inspired you to start doing youtube videos?

A friend started it up and we both thought it would be fun to record so I got a good computer and thats how we started. I loved watching over gamers like The Creatures and Roosterteeth. I learned that if i could just be myself and have fun. That people would love to see that.

I always wanted to make gaming videos ever since I was little.
I had no money to afford any equipment. My parents wouldn't approve of me making vidoes.
Now that I have a job, i bought my own equipment and started recording. :)

I would watch random people having fun and laughing in their videos so I thought "Is it really that fun?". People around me liked my sense of humor so I decided to give it a shot.

Hm well I joined YouTube when I had just turned 11 (sshhh). 26 December 2006 on my very first channel. The first channel I ever heard of was Smosh, and the first video I ever saw was their Feet for Hands video. They are who made me aware of uploading videos on YouTube. So I made two piano covers of songs and both have about 1000-2000 views I believe. I also had a game review of Happy Feet for GameCube which had about 1000 views as well. What really got me interested in regularly uploading though was the community of youtubers who made "music videos". If you guys know who Ricky Dillon, JC Caylen, etc are... this is where they came from, and this was long before they got so popular. So I 'officially' started uploading videos in 2009, and around 2010-2011 I had about 300-350+ subscribers, but I got bored of doing jump-cut "music videos" and wanted to direct and 'act' in music videos that had casts and stories and were more than just me moving around in front of a wall, so I slowed down on making videos and lost a lot of subscribers. BUT I'M BACK and this time as a full-on vlogger, taking inspiration and motivation from the Shaytards & their affiliated youtubers, the British youtubers (Zoe, Joe, Jack & Finn, Jim Chapman, Tanya, Louise, etc), and a few health channels like Blogilates.

omg i sound like a commercial

I think video is the fastest growing media for businesses so hence I need to be on video ... learning all the time and enjoying shooting my videos ... :)

I'd have to first credit Weird Al with inspiring me to write parodies, which I started doing in 1998. I'd then have to thank my wife Dee, who helped put the YouTube idea in my head around 2008. I pushed it aside then, but the idea came up again mid-2013, and I'm so glad I joined both the YouTube & the YTTalk families! The positive response and support of my parody songs (both from awesome fans, AND from "celebs" like PewDiePie, and Mama June from "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo") have been overwhelming and extremely satisfying, to say the least! Best. Decision. Ever! :D
