I made one a while back. It's decent, but I think I could do a little better now.
 
I don't really have a trailer, but I use my 26 seconds thank you video on my front page. From the analytics, it's doing great as well with 21 seconds avg view duration which got me a few hundred views from it.

I do but I can't show you because I haven't got VIP membership, but basically it's a before and after progression of my weight loss, I lost 50lbs so far and I am currently documenting my last 20lvs, I should have started way back when I started but I didn't even think to vlog about it! But yeah.. xxx
 
i made a trailer in a very tongue in cheek way. its not been super effective but then i think i might need to update it soon. many people just have their latest video instead
 
Im not keen on them personally, I prefer showing a specific video or the latest video but I do see their value and why channels choose to have them.
