Where are people getting background music? Copyright?

So in a lot of my favorite youtubers videos, they have really nice background elevator piano type music. I'm not really sure where they are getting it but i'm too scared to use any kind of music that didn't come with imovie because i dont want to get a strike for copyright!! So how exactly do people find all these great, gentle piano tracks to back up their video?

I make my own, sometimes.

Also Acidicfriend use it.

www(.)freemusicarchive(.)org (remember to take the () out :) )I recommend this site, however to find a good song that you like spend a few hours looking haha but this site is really good :)

I've found a tab on this website called "royalty free music" I'm pretty sure that means its okay for me to use. So if it's not please stop me now lol :)
You have to read the T/C carefully... Many times, they are royalty free with the condition that you are going to disclaim where you got it from. :singing2:

No no, if it says royalty free then it is fine, usually if the music wasn't released officially then it is okay, i haven't used music too often but i'm getting more into it. It really adds but just don't put a popular song on there, or you could use a musical version of a song that has lyrics

It's probably easier to get away with it if you are using rare or EDM type stuff that isn't with a big label.... or rare remixes.... I see a lot of people using EDM (electronic dance music) and getting away with it...
