I'm reviving this thread to whine as well.
Only 30% of my viewers use a computer, with 34% being on mobile and 27% being on tablet (I didn't even realize tablets were that common).
YT really needs to get on the annotation ordeal, because many channels are effectively dead in the water when it comes to communicating a brief idea to the viewers mid-video due to a mistake or whatnot.
