When To Start Collaborating With Channels

You should start it at day 1 if you have the chance :)
I've started my first collab when I had around 20 subs while the other person had around 70. But I don't think there is a limit when to do when, only when you feel like it ;)

Don't care much about the sub count, on my other channel I have over a 100 but collaborated with guys way below that, as long as your quality is good then you're all good :)

Chances are better if you collaborate with channels that are on the same level as yours.

Since it's meant to benefit both sides, it wouldn't be fair one channel with 6000 subs promotes the channel with only hundreds of subs (and the latter hardly having sufficient exposure for the 6k subs channel in return)

I don't think there's a set time. We are personally waiting to find a channel that we like that matches our style of video/comedy. That way we don't end up collaborating just for the sake of doing it, we can create videos together that we're proud of. I feel like a lot of people get the notion that they need to collaborate to grow their channel. You should do it to learn off each other and make videos you otherwise couldn't on your own. Plus I'm sure it's a ton of fun!

Start collabing whenever you feel it's right, there is no certain time or number to start, just find people in your range and style of videos, for example, if you have 100 subscribers, search for people within the 80-350 range, maybe 400-500 if you can! And don't search for collabs to ask for them, watch some of there videos, if you feel they have potential or you feel good around them, then as shila says, just... DO IT! :)

Thanks mate but i m not sure that there so many people who would do it just for fun :D
Depends on the content! I only have 250 subs, but I scored a collab with two - one has 4,500 subs, and the other has about 1,500 subs and just got a spot on VidCon's Less Than Famous panel - because I came up with a really fun, unique idea that hasn't been dreamed up and has really decent chances of taking off (plus I've known each of them for several months).

Just be friendly, enthusiastic, and most importantly creative, and good things will come.

Hey FatalAti would love to collaborate with you, you have my contact and just tell me when and if you want to.

Making connections with other creators is a wonderful way to build community. If you have someone you are comfortable reaching out to, go for it!
