when people found out

My whole class knows about my channel too, but I am studying to become a cameraman/editor so it's totally fine by me. First they didn't expect it but now they love it and some even want to be in a video for my channel. ;)

I think I get more hate for liking one direction, 5 sos and other bands that are considered gay or hated by most males then I do for doing youtube/film, actually maybe crying to looking for alaska and the fualt in our stars.

Only my little sister knows about my YouTube channel, other family members are aware that i game alot, though have no idea that it's not only for my own pleasure. My sister was always judge on graphics, color matches, social network stuff cause i don't have an "eye" for these things. She is always very supportive when i hit my own goals related with YouTube.

I don't think many other than close friends knew about my channel, I did start it when I was 16, but then years later when I got to college, a few of the people that knew about me for years turned out to be a few viewers of mine without realising it.
eg: "Oh you made that 'insert video here' video? I love it"

it was awesome :)
never had a bad experience thankfully, I only hang out with people that are into similar interests, or are at least kind enough to appreciate the work that goes into the channel.

My family doesn't know, and I don't want them to. If/when they find out, I assume it will be because I have a big enough following that my channel somehow seeped into their world, so there won't be an argument other than why I kept it a secret. I don't have a ton of friends, and those few don't really care. I guess the upside is that I have earned my subscribers and views--I think only one or two friends subbed, and they don't even watch.

My family is surprisingly supportive. Been sharing my thoughts and ideas with some friends. Haven't had anyone tell me to shut up about yet haha.

Screw those people, you do what you want and be proud mate. People enjoy different things for different reasons so no-one has the right to make fun of someone. But school is full of a bunch of A-holes anyway. Once you're out of school, and you're not having to be in close proximity of people who you wouldn't interact with, it will all go away.

When my friends found out they wanted to see my videos and always want to watch them when I upload a new one. Even my girlfriend's dad asked what my channel was called so he could check it out (thought I dodged a bullet there!)

People at work don't know but that's because I work in a professional environment where it wouldn't necessarily be appropriate but I wouldn't be embarrassed if they found out.

If someone is mocking me saying "Err ma gerrhd you've got a utube channel, why? Dats so lame" my only response is

"And...?"
