When did you put ads on your channel?

its your choice, but you will have to wait at least 1 year before getting 1000 subs, advertise your channel you will get more visibility.

Well kiddies, back when I started...

But seriously, when I decided to upload content in 2009, we didn't have the option to monetize. YouTube would randomly ask if we wanted to partner on certain videos.

It wasn't until 2-3 years later when I was made a partner and able to decide which videos I wanted to monetize. Even though I could monetize everything, I wouldn't. I felt that it was important to provide free content to try to grow my subscriber base.

Now, I monetize most everything but if I do a tag video or a video involving the announcement of somebody who died, I don't monetize those.

Real quick I got a question: in the monetization section of a video, its written Autorize InStream ads longer than 30 seconds... but this one is not checked, should I activate it ? is it going to be the same number of ads and they will just put longer one sometime ?? thanks.

Activate everything, you should have all Ad formats on

I'll probably wait till I hit around 1k subs or more. I did have them turned on pretty much the day I started YouTube but I stopped because it was pointless.
