I'm not putting adverts on until I hit 1k subscribers at least because right now with 150 subs it will discourage the audience to wait and they might unsubscribe or dislike

I don't think people mind the 5 seconds ads and banners. They are already used to it.

I can't remember when, but I have only monetized one video, because it was needed to be able to schedule videos, I don't intend to monetize any other videos on my channel.

I think I only set my ads up when I had nearly 1000 subscribers, but that was just randomly....there is no minimum requirement to do that and neither do I think people will mind seeing 5 seconds of ads before your videos. I say set them up... just don't do that expecting a load of money to pour in

Well, I didn't mean you should expect nothing
. Once you put them up, some money will slowly gather there. I just meant to not get discouraged if you put them up and don't instantly gain a lot from it.
