What's your veiw on people who monetize video's about tragedys ?

Omg... I was just gonna jump on tragedies happening randomly. I didn't even THINK about causing them!!! Ken you're a genius!!

Seriously making video on tragedies can be one of the best things for people to do as long as its done right, you should defo make videos on it but just talk about how people can help or link a bunch of stuff in the description. it no only helps but it will make people respect you a lot aswell

I dunno if that's my style LOL I'll... think about it.

Same. My bro gave his thoughts on that Century Theater shooting, but we both decided not to monetize it. It just felt wrong.
Yeah, I did a vlog last year after my friends' kids died in a car accident, and I didn't monetize it either, out of respect for my friend and her tragic loss.

Actually news channels and Youtubers covering said tragedies are doing it for pretty much the same reason--viewer ratings and exposure.
There is a reason why they don't want to talk about the genocidal killings in Africa. No one really cares about it enough to watch it #firstworldissues. When a tornado strikes in the US however, everyone wants to talk about it. so as a "news channel", naturally, they want to hop on the boat to get in on the action.

Maybe I'm a cynic but I don't see a reason not to monetize a video like that. What evil are you bringing upon the world for you to deliver bad news? So impact comedians shouldn't make money on a topic because people were hurt or it was a tragedy? Late night shows/snl/vloggers all should *out of respect* not make money on their work?

I don't agree with that. Though of course they should put the Red Cross number or whichever charity they're supporting in their videos/blogs/newspaper ect.

Even guys like frankie Boyle direct fans and followers to where they can help causes. And he's the most satire person on earth. I have no problem with people who do that, it's just the ones who are too lazy to take 5 seconds to share a link who are wasted
