What's Your Process?

Pretty much the same ideas as me dude! If i dont i mess up the commentary and have to do it again. But at the same time my commentary isn't a script!

I simply can never be bothered with a script. I feel it would be far too obvious for me to be reading from a script and I'd sound like a robot haha

I get an idea, and then if I can't think of enough points to go with that idea, I will research other peoples opinions online. Then I write down all the points I want to make, and put them in the right order. Then I record the video and there isn't so much umming and arrring as there would be if I didn't write it all down! And that makes it much quicker/easier to edit! :)

You should strive to be as efficient as possible, of course. But there really aren't any short cuts. You have to be willing to invest time and money into your videos if you're looking to stand out, because as Frankie points out, YouTube is a really competitive place.

For me I use the adobe suite so for me everything is already streamlined with dynamic link. But for me it depends for small projects (like my weekly videos) I tend stick to filming rough edits tweak the edits. Then vfx then sound then I color grade with magic bullet looks then I export. For larger projects like short films I do the same process except I color grade in a more powerful software (davinci resolve) then I export the grade back into my time line and export

I write the script out, not for direct read off, just in case I pause. And, I record. Edit with iMovie, gonna start making thumbnails, then upload!

I'm all about efficiency. If there's a way I can make things go quicker without dropping overall quality of video, I will.

1) Find a game to play(usually Draw My Thing, but bty next week, Minecraft. Horray for originality! :p)
2) Record it and my commentary(usually rage when it comes to Draw My Thing)
3) Edit it.
4) Wait 73468240 hours for the video to compress and render.
5) Repeat.
