What's your highest viewed video and why?

My highest viewed video is a Europe backpacking video, and I think the reason is that alot of people search on that stuff:)

My top video is something I uploaded for a project in university about creating a good product idea around a horrible concept. Our team got "sandpaper slip-n-slide" so we turned that into a pumice foot mat.

Anyway, this video got so many views because of foot fetishists. Now that I've started uploading my own video game music covers, nothing has surpassed this video in popularity (even though I've turned it to be private, so it hasn't gotten any new views in several years). Maybe that's a sign that I should include my feet in my videos? haha

My most viewed video was one I did of my dogs playing in the snow. I wasn't a YouTuber then. I put it on YouTube so my mom could see it and that was all I did with it. It now has over 115,000 views. It's not all that amazing, but it was right after a blizzard so the snow was pretty deep.

My highest viewed video is a short film I made at Uni called Martha and it has 6k views - I have no idea why it's so popular. My most recent highly viewed video is around 600 views and that was a video I made for one of my YT hero's... and she shared it on twitter... so that's why it has a lot of views :D

Most of my videos sit at around 20-50 views.

My most popular video by far is my "Let It Go" one from Frozen. I had uploaded a version of it around October or November and by the time January of this year rolled around, it had 15k views and it was one of my most popular videos at the time. It was only surpassed by my Star Trek: TNG clips. I then noticed that the quality of it had somehow gone from 480 to 240 and it looked terrible. So I made a 1080 version and put it up at the end of January and put an annotation on the old one directing people to watch the new one. Most people ignored it and my new one got almost no views from it, so I just deleted the old one.

Toward the end of March it had around 50k views, mainly from searches, but I still only had 6 subscribers (the most I had ever had by this point). But something amazing happened in April. A popular channel with more than half a million subs uploaded a highly anticipated video called "Let It Go - In Real Life" and because mine already had so many views, it became a Suggested Video on it. My views skyrocketed and I gained more than 600k views from April 9th to April 20th. Then it died down, but the initial fame made it much more likely to be a Suggested Video on other ones, not to mention driving traffic to a lot of my other videos. Right now it has 6.5 million views, with my 2nd place one having 433k.

My reaction to a Don't Judge challenge video. No idea why it attracted 20K views on a small channel. It was like 5 months ago, and I had probably just over 100 subs at that time. Probably because I made some funny comments while watching it, or lots of people reacting to that video back then, or some mysterious Youtube algorithms take place. Now I feel my channel and video quality have been better but it is not easy to replicate that video success.

my top video has 27k views and the next is 6.5k both are under 1 year old but i don't get why one is 4 x the views as i think its one of my most boring videos and out of 27000 views i only have 350 subs

Mine is "Why are there so many transgender people in Thailand" with almost 2000 views the last time I saw it. I'm pretty sure I gathered that many views because the topic of transgender is pretty niche and there aren't that many videos about it. Thus leading to my gathering some of the viewers. I don't know if its sad but I noticed that people subscribed to me because of that video expecting that I'll make more videos about transgender topics but unfortunately I just wanted to make a video about that topic at the time and I can't really see myself making anymore of those videos.
