What's the hardest milestone to reach? (In subscriber count)

I'd say the long road from 0 to 1,000 is pretty tough. You need to somehow find your starting audience from a sea of everything.

and second to that I'd say the 10,000 to 100,000 mountain is a toughy, that's when the quality needs to be really high, and you need to be performing at your best to reach it.

For me it was the first 100, it took 3 months
200-300 was the easiest
100-500 was kinda ok, I took 3 months
Now I'm at 730 subs and my growth has been steady since January

The first 100 is the hardest but the way to 1.000 is the most exciting

It took me longer to get to 100 than it did to get from 100 to 1000. So I do believe those initial 100 subscribers are the hardest hurdle to jump.

With that being out there, it will take a whole lot longer to graduate to 5 digits (10.000) from 4 digits (1.000) due to the sheer amount of subscribers needed to get that number. Growth is still faster now vs when I was below 1000 in my case though.

In April I gained 148 subscribers. I gained in one month what took me darn near a year to do when I just started out. It was a-typical growth though. If I run an imaginary line I am sitting pretty at around +100 subscribers a month. But I am not starting myself blind on those numbers. They can go up which is always nice, but they can tank too. It's best not to get attached to them. Have fun is the #1 objective. No matter if I am stuck at 1.2K or balloon past 10K in the coming months / years. I'll enjoy doing my thing the same.

I've only been uploading for about a month and a half, and I'm at 40 subs. I was stuck on 34 for a couple of weeks, then I got a bunch of subs in a couple of days randomly. First 100 seems tough to me, probably because that's all I know right now.
I really want to make that push for triple digits! In due time, I suppose.

This thread gives me stress :p
I am at 73 subscribers and it took me 7 months... I sure hope it goes faster after this... :p
I am seeing a very clear exponential growth with my subscribers though (yes even with the first 73...).

Conclusion: I am going to make myself believe 0-100 is the hardest :p

So far getting to 50 has been the most difficult. I was at 24 for a little while, then when one of my videos was featured on PC Gamer, I exploded up to 49 and then it stopped there for a week now. I just want to get to 50 damn it! Haha

I used to have a channel with almost 900 subscribers, but the first 100 or so were "earned" by someone shouting me out so this is the first time I have to really work for the 100 sub mark, but since I know what the journey from 100-1,000 is like, it's pretty dang hard!
