Hi everyone, this is a topic that i have had on my mind for some time now, only because i have received a lot of messages on youtube from different networks asking me to join them, i have always said no as i only do youtube for fun and at 630 subs, i dont see a point in it. So my question is, when is a good time to try and get partnered or when did you get partnered, i would love to hear your thoughts about this, and if you got partnered as a small channel, was it worth it? Thanks for your time :)

only you can get royalty-free music by yourself very easy fast ;)
they will not give any protection for you video, if it will violate youtube guidelines you will still get a strike :)
Again just my personal opinion, the best time to get partnered when you have few sub and I have no idea how to optimize your video tittle and keywords. Other than that there is no reason for you to share your profits with someone else. :)

Content Protection is actually an app from Fullscreen. If someone stole your videos, we can use that app to delete/monetize the stolen video. That's what I meant actually

When you want to start doing YouTube more professionally or just want some of the extras that most Networks offer.
Or both lol

Grow your channel until you reach 1,000 subs and about 300 views per day. If you want to get partnered earlier, make sure they offer good perks like music and whatnot. Who has invite you?

Ah ok, I was referring to strikes, because many user believe they will get better protection from youtube strikes, which is not true.

What you are talking about is a very good feature, however knowing a little bit about video files I see a big problem.
So if i download your video and upload it again then this app will be able to detect it. (talking only about video file now) why? well video file have a unique code which is made when video is recorder or rendered if am not wrong it is called hash code.

If I download your video and edit it in premiere or any other software or just simply import and then render this video will have a new hash code, which youtube will not recognize and consider as a new fresh video. This is actualy a way to re upload videos that have been banned on youtube. Not suggesting you do that :) just saying its possible.

In this case this app is useless I am guessing it will detect videos with same title ? or sound ( if it was not changed ) correct me if I am wrong.

Last time I checked you do not have to be with a network to report stolen content. Again correct me if I am wrong.

This app is not automatic ... You need to do it manual. Give the app a link (STOLEN ONES) and then give your original video. Choose whether you want to block/delete/monetize .. wait for the approval and then the app do it's job

From the description of the app, it seems that they are using the YouTube ContentID tool. The tool pretty takes the submitted videos and scans every video that is uploaded and looks for a match. Once it's found it will use the set action (monetize, track, or takedown). Of course people could edit the video but that takes a lot of time that people aren't willing to spend so it isn't that big of a deal.
