What Should You Do If Your Network Does Not Contact You Back?

So because it has been a while I will give a little update. I was finally able to get in contact with my network. I asked to be released from my contract however they said I am locked in with a three year contract. Which is new to me because I was told on the Vultra website that they have a no lock in contract. I went to my school's resource officer for help, and he told me about the Capacity law. Pretty much he said, a minor can disaffirm a contract made, no matter the case. And the entire contract must be disaffirmed. So when I told them about this, they started to ignore me a second time. After being very persistent I was finally able to get a respond. They told me that they have sent my case to their 'Legal' and YouTube for further action. I don't think I even believe they are doing anything at this point. I am still waiting for information. I try to contact them every week but they always just say the same copypaste "sent to legal" response. I feel that they will try to drag this out so I will just give up trying. As of right now I am still partnered with them even though I have told them that I do not wish to be partnered anymore. I would expect them to at least unpartner me or suspend my partnership until this matter is resolved but they will not do anything that will stop them from having my channel. By not responding back to me and dragging this process out, they have an unfair advantage over me. All I know, they would be committing Constructive Fraud by not evening doing anything at all. Just 'saying' they are handling it.

Still, if anyone can give me some advice. I am willing to try most things.

Ok, I want to preface this with my absolute disdain for what you're doing. Be very aware while you are going down this legal road, that you also committed fraud by actively signing a contract while a minor because inherent in that contract is a statement indicating you are of the appropriate age or are signing with a guardian. I run a sub-network and people that try to pull this s**t p**s me right off.

Your next move is to add more force, however you need to be willing to back it up or accept that the bluff may be called. You will draft a letter that is very short and to the point. It will be addressed and sent to Bent Pixels. You are no longer concerned with Vultra. The letter will say something akin to "As you are aware, a minor does not have the capacity to enter into a contract." You can include a phrase indicating that Vultra has ignored your requests thus far.

This letter needs absolutely no fluff, nor discussion of any kind. You are demanding that they release your channel. You are advising them that they have no choice or alternative in the matter. Additionally, you need to provide a timeframe and a consequence. Something like "It is expected that the channel will be released within 30 days of the receipt of this letter. Should the release not be completed in this timeframe, legal action will be pursued."

Now, here is where it turns into a bit of work. Your parents are going to write a letter as well, indicating the same. You will take both letters to a notary public to have them notarized and you will mail them to the Bent Pixels office via tracked, signature required express mail. http://bentpixels.com/contact/

Beyond that point though, you're on your own. Your channel is of some reasonable size, but not the size where lawyers are valuable in my view. However, Bent Pixels would be pretty stupid to ignore the situation as it is unknown whether your channel will reach that size in future which could certainly result in a worthwhile lawsuit. It is much easier for them to comply with the rules and let you go.

Or you could keep hoping that Vultra will get around to replying.

First I would like to say I appreciate the response.
Second, I would like to say I do take the blame for not reading the contract when I clearly should have. Back when I signed it I wasn't aware that what was on a website isn't necessarily the same on the contract.
Third, I have been talking to Bent Pixels from the beginning. They have been the ones ignoring some of my emails, however I am still going to take your advice.
Thank you again.

In my experience, NOBODY ignores a notarized letter. Make sure you keep scanned copies of it before you send it.
