Hey guys, David here. I decided to write this thread because it seems to be a fad that a lot of youtubers, whether they are new or have been around the block, seem to hide what they do from their friends and family. Now, I understand the whole fear of embarrassment deal because that was exactly what I did with my previous channels until one day I decided that it's definitely not the way to go. I believe that in being a content creator, you should be immensely proud with everything you put out, and you should want to share your creations with the world! I don't like the fact that society has made it so that it is not okay to be yourself, and these YouTubers who are afraid to do just that are struggling because their content does not appear to be authentic, because it is not. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing you for being silent about your channel if all is well with you and you are completely content with the sense of anonymity you have on the internet, but if you are a small youtuber who is struggling to get seen, do not be afraid to share your art with the world! Yes it is a bit daunting, and a lot of people do not realize that it takes an awful amount of courage to begin a youtube channel, but those who are closest to you are those most likely to show their support and give you feedback and constructive criticism! Mainly, just be yourself! I state this multiple times in my most recent small youtuber tag, "You can do whatever you want, and don't let anyone tell you different". Any who, sorry about that lil rant. I'm a youtube junkie and I just love seeing people be proud of what they do
This probably didn't even make sense but if you at least get the jist of it, then hopefully I've done my part to motivate you to get out there and take pride in your work!
Best of luck,
David
