What format does iPhones record in?

I'm just meaning that I can play the video fine on my Windows laptop through the Window Media Player, but it doesn't work on the Windows Movie Maker. :P Now I know tho it is because the Windows Movie Maker doesn't support the .mov format that iPhone records in. :P
