It really is. It isn't cheap (It's about $100USD I believe) but it records all of my screen and audio, and it edits like a charm. It's the only piece of software I use for all of my videos.

I like the video quality in FRAPS, and the sound quality in Bandicam.

I use Corel Video Studio Pro x5 to capture my game play, mainly because its a program I know since its what I use to edit videos. I've tried other capture programs and it made files huge or glitchy depending on what I was trying.

Fraps for games, Bandicam for Windows itself, Adobe Premier for video editing and Audition for audio.

Crap, forgot the why part. Fraps and Bandicam are dead simple to use. Fraps unfortunately doesn't record Windows Aero very well. Conversely Bandicam doesn't record game footage well, or at all I'm not sure. It's also nice to be able to control the window size in Bandicam. Adobe Premiere and Audition were packaged together and I learned how to use them in some classes I took a while back. Student discount also rules. Only negative to Audition IMO is that it's noise removal isn't very good but my mic resolves most of that problem (Shure SM7B).
