What do you use to create thumbnails? And why?

Mainly I use Gimp, Its pretty good. Just about as good as photoshop. You could also use Photoshop if you find good tutorials on it or blender.

I use GIMP as well. It's simple, powerful, and free to use. Basically Windows Paint 2.0
