What do you look for in a YouTuber?

I'll subscribe to friends channels, and generally watch a little bit of everything, but I enjoy the channels that have similar tastes to my own. That, and anything that will make me laugh or smile! This kind of keeps my viewing options open! :)

Personality is the main thing for me, although there are plenty of people I would/am be friends with but I don't watch their videos because their videos don't appeal to me. I guess its personal preference and very difficult to define :')

I think the first thing I look for in a YouTuber is their voice! If I can't listen to their voice, the rest is moot! It needs to be memorable. Then their video quality.

Well... Looks definitely are not what I look for in a YouTuber, I like sincere, down to earth & relatable people & if they can make me laugh then that's the icing on the cake :p I also enjoy factual YouTubers like Matthew Santoro (he's got a charm to him & his vids are quality) & VSauce3 is pretty cool too!

I try to find people who are gorgeous and have nothing interesting to say, as those are my life goals. jk. I try to find authentic, relatable brands, as the industry folk put it.

It's all personality to me, and they have to play games that I would find interesting.
I wouldn't watch a game I don't like, even if my favorite YouTuber played it.
That makes sense. If you're watching a gamer, 50% of why you're watching is for the game. So if you don't like the game, why bother watching?

It's is kinda true girls watch people like Zoella and other beauty gurus because they feel they are perfect and want to look like them and they watch guys like O2L, Alfie Dayes, and other youtubers that seem to have a great life and always doing something never sad and usually half good looking basically a role model boy friend, what they have in common is that the viewers of 10-24 females want that and think they are perfect so they draw in the majority of audience and gamers/comedy get boys and men... When you make videos look at your demographics where the views are coming from what videos are bringing in more views and what do they have in common. I could go more in detail on how to do this but I would rather make a new thread on this which I think I already did.

You brought up a really good point. I really have noticed that comedy/gamers do draw in a lot of male audience because they aren't focusing on trying to relate to someone in their eyes that is "perfect" like females do with beauty Youtubers and things like that. I didn't really give this much attention until you said something. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1416934605,1416934382][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm about the same. :) Anyone who makes me laugh, I will instantly like. I love VSauce! :D
