What do you look for in a YouTuber?

Do you look for personality? Personable? Looks? Let's hear it

Doesn't matter if you're into gaming videos or vloggers! I'm open to hear all opinions on what YOU guys look for when you're watching a new YouTuber

Well, In order for me to watch someone and subscribe there has to be some sort of personal connection like, "Hey, I could see myself being friends with them" or "Reminds me a little of me". Because if I watch someone that I can't connect with I get bored or I just sit there confused on why they say and do most the things they do.

That makes sense. Being able to relate to someone is really a great way to connect to a YouTuber

I feel like there are already threads like this and I already answered this somewhere.

But I look for someone who isn't a gamer because I don't watch gamers. And also some other stuff that I probably listed on some other thread.

Yeah. I mean I am not a gamer at all. I have watched a few videos from PewDiePie, Markiplier and a few others just to see what it is all about. I have watched one or two videos from few gamers on yttalk just to check out their channels. But I understand gaming and I am at horrible at video games, but there are a lot of gamers on yttalk if that interests you.

I would say it's a mixture of all those things you listed as people nowadays are looking into role models basically "perfect" figures.
That's just how messed up society is.

"Perfect", huh? Sad how that seems so unreachable ): No one's perfect!

It's all personality to me, and they have to play games that I would find interesting.
I wouldn't watch a game I don't like, even if my favorite YouTuber played it.

It's is kinda true girls watch people like Zoella and other beauty gurus because they feel they are perfect and want to look like them and they watch guys like O2L, Alfie Dayes, and other youtubers that seem to have a great life and always doing something never sad and usually half good looking basically a role model boy friend, what they have in common is that the viewers of 10-24 females want that and think they are perfect so they draw in the majority of audience and gamers/comedy get boys and men... When you make videos look at your demographics where the views are coming from what videos are bringing in more views and what do they have in common. I could go more in detail on how to do this but I would rather make a new thread on this which I think I already did.
