What do you answer when someone asks how much you make on Youtube?

i heard you arent actually allowed to discuss how much money you earn with youtube, its like a deal with adsense or something, there are so many videos on youtube talking about how much they have made, but never directly saying it as you aren't actually allowed, so i would just say that haha

You know how I'd answer? I'd answer with the most ridiculous answer, like "Not enough to continue fueling my toy unicorn addiction." or "That's confidential government information. I'd tell you, but they'd kill me." See, you just have to scare them off. That's how you get through life.
hahah thats a funny and polite answer! Nice one.

I just simply say "I don't earn from making videos" even if I am just to stop them asking me about this thing. It is too personal and there's someone really curious how much I earned, I'll say just watch my video and guess if I am really earning that much (when they saw my video, they realized I really don't earn that much) - well they've watched it and each views count LOL. So, thanks to them for taking my trap.

I just tell them "I don't know, I don't do YouTube for money, I do it because its fun and I get a laugh out of it."

And then make them feel bad by saying something like "Yeah bet you would only think about the money", they are very fast to shut up then :)

I don't care, I will tell them! It is not my primary career by any means so it does not matter whether or not I share this info!

It is personal info, so it depends how much I trust the asker. I normally say beer money, which is about right, and if they know how much I drink they are privileged enough to know ;)

Depends on who asks to be honest. If it's someone I don't know I just say something vague like "enough", My (good) friends know how much I make, and if it's someone I don't really like, well... I tell them the truth because it's probably 5 times more than they earn hahah.
