What do girls think of YouTubers?

I've moved this to the main YT forums. ^^

I dated a guy Youtuber once (before I started posting on YouTube...). He never mentioned he had a channel, but I found it. It was a review channel, and it was doing really well too -- like silver play-button-level-well! I was surprised he never brought it up, but I never brought it up either... He was a completely different person in his videos -- it was kind of weird, actually. I didn't think any less of him for making YouTube videos. I thought it was cool. ^^

I would have preferred if he had mentioned it, but I guess he thought it would put him in a weird position. If you are a YouTuber, don't hide it too much! Creepy stalker dates like me will find it and wonder what else you are hiding. o.0
Haha alright i'll definetely keep that in mind Next time i'm going out with a girl, because your right there's no reason to hide it.[DOUBLEPOST=1477265932,1477265856][/DOUBLEPOST]
They wouldn't think of you any different lol. Maybe if you're really big then you're probably capable of pulling up a lot of chicks but only the ones who want you for your fame / money.
Very true, definetly don't want to run into a gold digger.[DOUBLEPOST=1477266026][/DOUBLEPOST]
I don't think girls care one way or the other if you have a youtube channel, if you're a nice guy they'll like you.
True, I was just thinking if you acted differently in your videos like more professional they would think different of you.

If you have over 100k subscribers they are more than willing to talk to you. You're famous... And it instantly makes you attractive to some of the more narrow-minded ones (not relationship material).

If you aren't successful in numbers / do it for a living I would bring it up as a hobby, but nothing more than that. Everyone has dreams, but YouTube is a pipe dream for most of us. Still a fun one though!

My girlfriend doesnt even know i youtube, and i live with her... Im planning on telling her once i get that fancy first youtube $100 check. Then i think should understand, and be like "oh thats what youve been working on your computer so hard for. Its kind of cool you actually got paid for it."
