YTtalk Mad
I get a decent amount of views as I try to promote as much as I can but my average watch length per video is kinda bad, getting better slowly but I need it to go up a lot. Any tips would be great.
Yea I figured the intro had something to do with it, I like it but Im probably going to change it soon, I'll make it shorter, maybe try to get the maps in somewhere else during the video. Thanks for the advice.Well watching your latest video, it took you about 35 seconds before saying a word. That's way too long. I had an intro that I spent at least 5 hours on that was only 6 seconds long, but my analytics showed that I was losing about 25% of my audience during the first 6 seconds. It was hard for me to let it go, but since then, my audience retention has gone from around 38% to around 55%. You need something to keep the audience curious during the first few seconds. I personally like ask a few questions to peak the audience.
Ya know, I'm considering getting rid of my intro. It seems like some people get into like 30 seconds into my video and quit. I think jumping into the content asap works best.Well watching your latest video, it took you about 35 seconds before saying a word. That's way too long.
