When 1 year of me working/promoting by a** off equals 3 months of you doing no promotion at all, I would say I am clearly doing something wrong or chose the wrong subject. ^^

There's no need for a certain amount of subs, I've got twice the subs you do, but you've got twice the views I've got (If I remember right you got most from your videos being shared on certain sites? but still)

For the OP, if you really want 1K subs, either do Sub4Sub or pay people to subscribe to you if it's that important. It boils down to people liking your content and wanting to watch more, watch time and views are more important in building a channel. Subscribers are like the showy Armani suit to show off your success, watch time and views are the moolah to back it up. (Sub4Sub would be buying a fake Armani suit in this analogy)
