I totally tried to fight it for months too but then finally they were like "Either you accept Google's control or you can't comment or view comments or do anything"

I was like, "Isn't that kind of censorship? Whatevs though." and then I accepted it.

Im pretty sure they actually mean Google+ not Google.

Google+ is what ****** up YouTube. Google, and Google+ are different when Google+ started f*****g with YouTube cause Google went to do other s**t and let their small department work on YouTube and they can't handle the fact people hate it..
 
I remember that stuff! I had a random channel back in 2008ish just for subscribing and commenting on stuff. Those yellow subscribe buttons though. Also the old channel layouts, not just before the banner ones but the channels way way way before that :roflmao2:
 
I remember the 5-stars rating system!! I like the thumbs up/down system better; for some reason, a thumbs down doesn't feel like as much of an insult as a 1-star rating. :P
 
I remember. I used to have an old account back in 2005 when YT started for my anime music videos, but that account was killed for multiple copyright strikes from anime companies.

I didn't really get serious about YT again until 2011, but I still remember everything. I even remember when the video descriptions were easier to see.
