Hey guys. I just got curious. So, although my channel is only a week or two old I've been on YouTube for a really long time (since 2008 or 2009 actually) and I was just curious to know if any of you guys were on YouTube when the rating system was 5 stars. And you would get a little notification below your username on the homepage saying if you have a new personal message, comment, video response, etc. Man, I feel so old because I was watching older videos and it was asking to rate 5 stars and it came back to me that that used to be a thing before Google took over.
 
I remember the star ratings and all of that. I didn't get an account until 2010, but I did use it before then, and I remember seeing that, and the yellow subscribe button. :P Hehe... and I think the description and all of that used to be on the side of the video, instead of underneath.

OH MY GOD YES. I remember that. Oh gosh, I miss old YouTube so much sometimes. Haha. But, yes, that's another cool thing that used to be on YouTube.

Awwh man I remember the yellow sub button, and everyone used to use it in their videos too!
Yes I remember when the description box was to the right of the video!
 
We have had this channel since 2007. Its funny how much it has changed since then

I totally tried to fight it for months too but then finally they were like "Either you accept Google's control or you can't comment or view comments or do anything"

I was like, "Isn't that kind of censorship? Whatevs though." and then I accepted it.
