I have an Intel i7 CPU and 16GB of RAM. I'm fine on all those. It's my GPU that's dying - causing display issues in my games, making my video renders very slow, etc.
They normally give adapters with those types of cards. At least when I was still working in IT retail about a year ago, every card that came with a mini HDMI port came with an adapter. You can always check the box if it's a non-sealed box or ask staff from wherever you're buying it.
Well my current card is an AMD/ATI 7870. I'm less familiar with the nVidia brand models. I play games like WoW, Diablo III, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, The Sims 3 (soon the Sims 4), etc. ... so I know my next cart will have to be fairly decent.
From what I remember even the AMD cards came with the adapters when they had mini HDMI, although I think they used slightly different 1s. I know the 760+ won't need HDMI adapters but not sure about the higher end AMDs as most of them had normal HDMI anyways, I think there's a new series of AMD cards the R9X or something like that too.
Yeah but what I heard is that the R9x cards are nearly identical to the 7800 series cards. Just with a few modifications, not a lot of upgrades at all. In either case I have to wait since I just can't afford much of anything right now. Gotta pay the mortgage first.
