What I can't seem to understand is why people look down upon other people because they have dreams of becoming famous or well-known...
Yes, I make videos because I like doing it! I love recording and producing a slew of different gaming related content, because I like the world around it and the reactions I get from people who like seeing that content. It is one of the biggest reasons I keep doing it, the community is great and very involved to a point where you can get into a very nice conversation with someone because they like the stuff you make on the internet.
But I don't make illusions for myself that Youtube is "only for fun" or you "shouldn't do it to become famous"! Interactive video is on the rise and might one day replace the entirety of television as we know it now, and it will spawn a lot of demand for creators like us... So screw that, I'm good at this excrement and if I keep improving and working at it I might just be able to make a job out it. Not because I have the urgent need for recognition or I get off on fans telling me they want to lick my elbow, but because I really like doing it!
So tell me again how I shouldn't take my channel, views and subscribers seriously...?
P.S.
Pervert Pete, this post isn't meant to insult or demean you, it just so happens that you touched upon the topic. No hard feelings!
