UK YouTubers, do you prioritise the US?

Last month 42% of my views but 53% of my watch time was from the U.S.
Canada and the UK came second and third with about 7% each. I try to upload at 5pm for the same reason as @EVO .

It sounds like you want your business to stay on a personal level; I can understand that, but can you not offer just as good a service using Skype and email?

If you really need to be sitting at the same table as your clients from time to time then you should definitely upload at the times that your UK viewers are watching the most. I think I recall a post where you mentioned that you listen to Gary Vaynerchuk videos... he talks a lot about the importance of your channel having depth as well as width. If the UK is where you will be making your money then you may have to sacrifice some of the width of your channel in order to gain depth.[DOUBLEPOST=1510319611,1510318333][/DOUBLEPOST]I just re-read your post. I can't go into it with the expectation of being able to work exclusively online.
I think you're wrong. I think you absolutely CAN go into it with the expectation of working exclusively online. I just got back from the U.S. last night and can assure you that Brits tend to do very well indeed with American clients. The Americans themselves are also generally very accustomed to doing business online through Skype and other media.
From what little I have seen of your videos I would say you have a very sellable package to offer. You have the British accent that Americans love, you have a very engaging way of talking to the camera, and you talk sense...don't undersell yourself! Go for the American online clients.
They usually pay more too!

You make a lot of sense.

I guess I'll need to balance width with depth and accept growth will be slower if I target only 1 geography and go for depth, which is OK. Of course, I'll still be happy for US users to sub, but the focus will be the UK. But saying that, almost as if by fate, this morning, somebody in the US asked if I can run their Facebook ad campaign following my last video, so you've definitely got a point around running my consultancy online!

Thanks for the sound advice! I've got some thinking to do.

I think that up to a point you need to listen to your followers and let your company find it's own path. Keep doing what you are doing, keep producing solid content, and if you find that you receive a lot of good enquiries from the U.S. then adapt and find a way that you can give them what they need online. If on the other hand you find that you can't move forward unless you have a face to face meeting then you may need to focus on UK viewers and lose some of the width in favour of depth.
