I kind of agree. But this is a forum for people to talk about youtube, and get help. Famous Youtubers, and favorites and all that just come in the youtube package. The users who ignore stuff like sticked threads is something I've never seen in any forum, sadly enough, but we get a lot of new people because youtube is a big and ever growing thing, while most are niche topics.

What is your example of an 'intelligent' topic though? The missing plane? Politics? There's going to be a forum for that now.

I actually agree with @Sir. WaflCake IV pretty strongly. I came to YTT from a google search for something along the lines of "YouTube tips forum" and found YTT as one of the first links (don't quote me on the search, it was similar to that).

The site's slogan is "The #1 Community for Every YouTuber." which I interpreted "YouTuber" as one who creates on YouTube, not just someone who watches. Most of the topics were strategies, advice, branding, etc etc so this confirmed my initial conjecture.

Since joining a while back, I have seen the "intelligent" threads (and to someone's point about no politics/missing planes) on actual info regarding becoming a YouTuber get answered by rehashed crap or spam that people are posting to try and up their post count or gain YTT Cash. Not to say that this is EVERY reply, but most replies are not very helpful, are a completely open ended opinion, or have no relevance.

Example:
  • Topic Title "Consistency in Video Uploads: Daily versus Weekly?"
  • Post Content (Summary): "Do you feel uploading daily is too often for my subscribers? Should I break it to 2 or 3 times a week, or just once a week? What is your experience and feedback with this?"
Replies will consist of:
  • "Yeah you can do daily, but some do weekly, and others do a few times a week. That is all good!"
  • "Well, I've seen all of those work out, I think daily is pretty good."
  • "Go weekly dude, its too much in a feed to see those videos and people won't watch each one."
  • etc etc
None of these are "intelligent" replies, they are rehashes of people who already posted, rehashes of the original post itself, or just opinions that don't really answer the question of (in this example) "What is your experience?"

Let's get some actual feedback. Hey this worked for me (and the important part) THIS IS WHY.

Example: "As a let's player, daily uploads of my series get great views, however I only do a VLOG once a week because its my channel update. I did them more often in the past and people seemed more focused on the lets plays and my vlog didn't work out so well. The vlog took more effort too, so I reduced it to one a week and found great results."

I'll summarize my feelings by saying this. I have met some great people through YTT, but I am DEFINITELY weeding through the garbage to get quality advice and gain knowledge about growing my channel and branding myself.

Your reply here, sir, is the exact reason why I have another reason to live another day. Everything you've said here pretty much nails what I was trying to point out here, even if the others think I was trying to be a poumpous ******* or something.
 
If anyone is derailing a thread please report it @MegaBoringGuy we have zero tolerance of people doing it within advice/more serious threads.

As @Styxie said, if you feel that way you should create your own threads rather than expecting them to appear. If threads and posts here are too unintelligent for you you could respond with something intelligent yourself to help the OP or create your own threads that you consider intelligent.

For Christ's sake, I'm just trying to get the word out, I wasn't trying to find something new to b***h about. I'm not trying to prove something. You people don't get me at all, which is another problem that relates to the topic of dumb a** forum-posters; You misunderstand people who try to get these messages out to people on the website. It's just something I make so people could take it into consideration or just discuss about it. Then people like you come in and always say "WHY DONT U DO IT IF U HAVE A PROB WITH IT" as if I'm trying to f*****g insult your website's standards or something.

I mean Jesus Christ, I don't have to do everything myself just because I make a concerned thread about it. You people are using the logic 12 year olds use as a retort.

And @TheDoctor_13 for me saying "intelligent" topics, I wasn't talking about topics in the current news today. Why do you smart asses always think that when someone says "intelligent" it always redirect to something in the current news? I'm talking about subject matters that aren't simplistic such as "Who's your favorite/Why do you/Someone hit X many views/YT Crush/Hottest Male, ugh", I mean something that is more discussion-worthy, like talking about some controversial matters centered on specific YouTubers, talking about actual reasons to why you like some besides "ooh, I think he's funny/He's cute/He's awesome/He sucks/Because I just like him", because all I see on this topic is nothing important. This is suppose to be the main page where we all talk about different YTers and different issues based on YouTube, but all I see is high-school gossip b******t. I know that 'gossip' is apart of the topic's name, but that doesn't mean simple s**t high-schoolers talk about. This is not what I've joined YTTalk for, I joined it to actually TALK about YouTubers, hence the name.

THAT'S what I mean by "intelligent", thank you very much.
